Build Leadership Skills in Kids edited
- Students must earn stripes to progress from one belt to the next. One part of earning stripes is being able to demonstrate their new found skills. The second part is having a “Black Belt Attitude,” not just at karate, but at home, school or wherever they go. To make sure they have this attitude students are required to do Character Homework. And finally, both the parents and their teachers must approve them for graduation. All three of these aspects are instrumental in helping children understand they are responsible for their actions and their attitudes.
- What this means for you; less fighting, less tears, less aggravation and more harmony at home. You face many challenges raising a great kid in this crazy, demanding world. And you gain a community to meet the challenges of raising kids, eliminating that sense of being “in it alone.”
- At Karate America we use karate as a method to build leadership skills in kids so they can learn to rely on themselves, succeed on their own terms and become of service to their community.
- A lifetime of benefits. Not only does karate teach children to have better respect, self-discipline, confidence and control, but it also enhances their physical abilities. As parents know a healthy mind and body go hand-in-hand.
- We always encourage students to do their best, NOT someone else’s best. Most importantly, they’ll have fun during the whole process. As a matter of fact, one of our core principles is to have “serious” fun… not playing, but achieving.
- Remember, this is a completely risk free way to see if martial arts is right for your child.
